Our annual trip to Ramanasramam during the last week of August and Sept 1, which coincides with the arrival of Sri Bhagawan at Tiruvannamalai went on well. This time, our group was sized 36 including many of our relatives and friends. We did Giripradakshinam on the night of 29th August. The Pradakshina started at around 9 in the night and went on till 4 AM in the morning. Almost all the group members including young and old walked the entire stretch tirelessly. It was once in a life time occasion for many of us who were first timers to do Giripradakshina in such a large group. There was singing, dancing, debates and discussions on matters mostly relating to Sri Bhagavan and spirituality. During Giripradakshinam, at the stroke of midnight, Mamayya was greeted on his birthday and a gift was presented to him.
The next day we visited Arunachaleswar Temple and in the afternoon, we had Satsang in the room of our beloved guru Sri D Venkayya garu where we discussed matters mostly to devotion and bhakti. The following day, we visited Skandasramam and Viripaksha Cave. The entire trip was a joyful one with everybody enjoying the trip to the core and remembering it for rest of their lives. Some of the related photographs are being posted.
